My favorite activities

Driving to Ellicottville in the fall for the leaves; window shopping along Hertel Avenue, especially around the holidays; long walks through Forest Lawn Cemetery; gathering with friends for drinks and dinner at Taste of Thai, Cole's, Mulberry's, and Gabriel's Gate.

5 Things I love about Buffalo
  1. People – you can carry on a conversation with ANYONE, the community spirit here is very strong and in Buffalo it’s two degrees of separation, not six
  2. Four seasons – with outdoor activities for each season
  3. Food – you name it, we do it well here…there’s so much more to Buffalo than wings and weck!
  4. Music, Arts & Culture – from the College Street Gallery to Nietzsche’s – there’s always live music or an exhibit at a gallery
  5. Location, location, location – Toronto and Cleveland are mere hours away and a flight to NYC is less than an hour and no more than $100!

My favorite local hidden treasures you shouldn’t miss

Take the in-depth tour at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House and do the Whirlpool Jet Boat in Lewiston on a hot summer’s day!

My perfect day spent in the Buffalo-area

Early morning coffee at Spot Coffee on Elmwood followed by breakfast at Betty’s, shopping in the Elmwood Village – stops at Everything Elmwood and Pavlov’s Togs, doing the Walk Buffalo tour of downtown, dinner at the patio at Left Bank Restaurant, walking along the water with ice cream from the Hatch, live music at the Lafayette Tap Room
