Kate Resetarits
Kate Resetarits is a happy homeowner in the Elmwood Village section of Buffalo, who works with her family in commercial construction and development. She loves summer in Buffalo, playing tennis in Delaware Park, and hanging out with her English Bulldog, Dually.
My favorite activities include
Meeting friends for drinks on either the first warm day of spring on a patio, or during the first snow storm at a warm, cozy bar; rollerblading at the Erie Basin Marina; enjoying Elmwood Avenue-- either grabbing an ice cream cone and walking my dog or late night Christmas shopping in December; Buffalo Bills tailgate parties, Doors Open Niagara; concerts at Thursday at the Square, crazy Buffalo celebrations like Dyngus Day, Boom Days, the Chicken Wing Festival…We celebrate EVERYTHING!
5 Things I love about Buffalo
- The Buffalo Sabres – enough said!
- Real estate prices; the homes are absolutely stunning and incredibly affordable
- The coziness of winter, the rebirth of spring, the sun and fun of summer, and extremely colorful fall seasons.
- The place is naturally beautiful…Lake Erie, tree-lined city streets, the rolling hills in ski country.
- The Buffalo Sabres – enough said!
My favorite local hidden treasures you shouldn’t miss
Fishing at the foot of Ferry Street, the Buffalo Central Terminal, Maureen’s Wholesale Flower Market on Saturday mornings, the fountain at Gates Circle at night in the summer, Big Orbit Gallery at the Essex Arts Center, seeing great bands at Mohawk Place and Nietzsche’s.
My perfect day spent in the Buffalo-area
A Saturday in July…Walking to grab coffee and a bagel, heading home for less than an hour of yard work (City yards are so easy), then walking to the Bidwell Market for some groceries and fresh flowers, meeting friends for lunch, spending the afternoon at estate sales or open houses, and later meeting friends again for a late night dinner and drinks at the Left Bank.
