What They're Saying About Buffalo
Looking for a second opinion about Buffalo? Wondering what a third party might have to say about our fair city? Check out what the national press has had to say recently about our city by the lake. A reporter for The Washington Post spent time in Buffalo last year and came away duly impressed. She wrote: “Buffalo is now walking proud as a hip center of arts and performances.” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution proclaimed that “the architecture treasures of Buffalo…must be seen.” AmericanStyle magazine told its readers to go to Buffalo “for the festivals, but stay for the impressive array of visual arts.” And Paul Goldberger, architecture critic for The New Yorker, proclaimed that Buffalo “has a kind of power, the power of the authentic place.”
Those of us lucky enough to live and work here are inclined to shout “I told you so!” but we’ll settle for the satisfaction that comes with sharing something cherished, something close to our hearts. Buffalonians are passionate about our city, proud of its traditions, pleased that the world is beginning to notice its many assets and attractions.
But don’t take our word for it, take a look at what The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Tim Russert and others are saying about our often overlooked and under-appreciated city.
