Toys R’ East Aurora

Celebrating 21 years of ToyFest fun

ToyfestKids of all ages are invited to visit toyland this August in quaint, historic East Aurora.  Bringing with it fun for all ages, the 21st annual ToyFest is set for Friday, August 25th through Sunday, August 27th in Hamlin Park, at the Toy Town Museum and along East Aurora’s Main Street.

Celebrate the history of toys in the town that has been home to Fisher-Price creations since the early 1930’s.  Every year visitors flock to East Aurora to learn more about Western New York’s toy connection, to see exhibits of antique toys at the Toy Town Museum and to take part in the festival for kids of all sizes – ToyFest! More than 100,000 little ones and not-so-little ones fill East Aurora, turning it into the ultimate stop for the small set.

Visitors will enjoy festival features such as Animal Alley, kiddie rides, car shows, and continuous live music shows. ToyFest even offers a competitive atmosphere with a 10K run, which is held on Sunday, August 27th at 9 a.m.  Prizes will be awarded in each age group.

The annual “Firing of the Candy Cannon” signifies the official beginning of ToyFest during the two-hour parade that marches down East Aurora’s Main Street.  Giant Fisher-Price toys and kid-inspired floats capture the imagination of the young and young-at-heart.
