Meet me at the Square
All your friends will be there!
What better way to kick off Buffalo Old Home Week than with a ready-made party! On Thursday, August 24th, Thursday at the Square welcomes Sloan to the stage as well as the Buffalo Old Home Week mascot and a try-to-catch-a-t-shirt contest.
Thursday at the Square has become so popular that north-of-the-border friends and visitors from out-of-town make an annual trek to Buffalo with the “Square” as their main destination – and this week will be no exception.
Local favorites, The Alison Pipitone Band and Johnny Nobody open for Sloan, a Toronto-based band who won a Juno award in 1997 for Best Alternative Album.
Returning after a hugely popular 2005 Square appearance, Eric Burdon and the Animals headline the final Thursday at the Square concert of the season on Thursday, August 31st.
All Thursday at the Square concerts take place in Lafayette Square and begin at 5 pm running until approximately 9 p.m. For more details and a schedule of even more great Buffalo Place events, go to www.buffaloplace.com.
