See into the Future

Buffalo on the waterfront

Buffalo's waterfrontSpend a lazy, late summer evening on Buffalo’s waterfront on Saturday, August 26th and hear the latest buzz of what’s in store for Buffalo's shore.

Enjoy an outdoor barbecue with live music by The Electras and a beautiful Buffalo sunset over the water during an evening entitled “The Waterfront: the Future of Buffalo.” It’s all taking place at the Chief Petty Officer’s Club at the foot of Porter Avenue from 5 to 9 p.m.

Hear about how the waterfront will play a major role in the "New Buffalo" and its future. Catch up on the latest plans for waterfront development directly from Uniland, ECIDA, the Erie Canal Inner Harbor Project, Great Lakes, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Boathouse Corp. Congressman Brian Higgins is scheduled to speak, as is Kevin P. Gaughan, civic leader.

Tickets are available at the door at $6.00 per person.  For more information, go to www.buffoldhome.com.

Save some time to savor the waterfront on your own, too.  Visit the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park near the Erie Basin Marina and the nearby Veterans Park, the first completed element of the Erie Canal Harbor at Buffalo’s Inner Harbor.  Veterans Park consolidates many of the region’s veteran memorials in a tranquil, landscaped setting and connects seamlessly to the enhanced Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park.  Information on the naval park can be found at www.buffalonavalpark.org
