Buffalo welcomes the Art of Jazz Series

Buffalo BillsListen and live the history of jazz – a true American art form – during the Albright-Knox Art Gallery’s Art of Jazz Series beginning Saturday, October 14th and running through Saturday, April 28th.

The Albright-Knox Art Gallery is set to welcome the Art of Jazz Series for its eighth season.  A hugely popular annual event, this year’s series will feature an unprecedented lineup of international artists.  Performing amid one of the world’s top collections of modern and contemporary art, the musicians will bring their interpretations of the art form from Poland, Argentina, Brazil, New York City, Kansas City and elsewhere. 

Ready to bring another dimension to the Albright-Knox are The Thomsz Stanko Quartet (10/14); Cyrus Chestnut (above) and Kevin Mahogany (11/18, 11/19); Trio Da Paz (1/28); The Eric Alexander Quartet with Harold Mabern (2/11); Paul Shapiro’s Midnight Minyan (3/11); and Dino Saluzzi with Anja Lechner (4/28).
