Holiday concerts by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has already had an enormously popular season, achieving record-breaking attendance numbers.  The BPO will continue its 2007-2008 season with two holiday concert series.  From December 7th-9th, the BPO will perform its annual Holiday Pops shows.  This holiday tradition features favorites from the holidays with special guest singers and narrators under the direction of Robert Franz.

A Classical Christmas will be featured on December 14th and 15th.  Under the direction of conductor JoAnn Falletta, the BPO will play holiday works spanning the ages-- from Baroque to the 20th century.  Favorites such as Handel’s Messiah, selections from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and Vivaldi’s Winter Concerto will make for a wonderful program for the whole family.  In addition, this program will be recorded live at both performances and released on a Holiday Classics CD that will be available for purchase at Kleinhans Musical Hall.

All performances by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra take place at Kleinhans Music Hall.  For times and to reserve tickets, visit www.bpo.org or call 716-885-5000.
